What is PSI? How does it work?

• What is PSI?
  

  Potential Supplier Identification (PSI) is a bridge service program aim to serve for the global buyers to find qualified Chinese suppliers. The PSI program guarantees the efficacies and effectiveness of your sourcing activities according to your requirements.

• How does it work?
  The PSI works simply in the following steps:
  1. Buyer applies for PSI service on Gasgoo.com;
  2. Gasgoo establishes the free online sourcing web page for buyer;
  3. Buyer authorizes Gasgoo.com to publish purchasing information (not confidential) on the portal;
  4. The supplier members of Gasgoo apply for buyers sourcing requests and make quotations according to specific requirements;
  5. Buyer receives the recommended suppliers list with detailed supplier information

How to post a new PSI souring project?

• When you enter My Gasgoo, click on “Post a new project” button to access the posting page. You need to follow the instructions and fill the forms to post your project requirements.




Please note: there are two steps for a buyer to post an project:


1. Provide general purchasing requirements and information
2. Provide a detailed inquiry form for suppliers to fill in

How to sort the applicants' information?

• After your project is published on Gasgoo, the suppliers who are interested to your request will apply for the project through Gasgoo online system, and you will receive applications regarding this project. You can check the suppliers’ details who applied the project and sort suppliers list according to your needs:
• Go to Manage My Suppliers page: to view a list of suppliers who applied the project you have posted, click the buttons to sort the supplier list in ascending/descending orders. You can also click on the supplier’s name and check the detailed information.

How to rank a supplier?

• There is a parameter indicating supplier’s rank with 1-5 stars

  The ranking shows previous historical records of satisfaction rating to the supplier from other buyers. A supplier with a 5 star ranking is defined as the "Preferred" supplier. A supplier's rank can be changed at your discretion. To change the rank of a supplier, go to the supplier details page and click on the "Delete a Star" (not clear, please use delete) button to make lower ranking.

PSI overview

• There are 6 functions in PSI which buyer can use to find qualified Chinese suppliers:
  

  Post: buyer can post a new purchasing item and request supplier to make a quotation
  Update: buyer can update the published information in good time
  Sort: buyer can sort on the supplier list by different perspectives
  Compare: buyer can compare the features among the selected suppliers
  Rank: buyer can rank the selected supplier with the developed ranking system
  Contact: buyer can contact with selected suppliers directly online.
  

How to manage PSI projects?

• Buyer can edit / update purchasing projects with “Manage Projects”. Click on Manage projects to view the list of projects you have posted. Click on the View button, and then the Edit button to update the project requirements and information as well as editing the inquiry form.
• If you want to cancel/delete the purchasing item, please click on the icon in the action area of this item. After the project is deleted, Gasgoo.com will send a confirmation email to your registered email box.
• A sourcing project will be expired automatically according to the valid date you set previously in the project initiation process, and the project will be removed from our website, at the same time, the confirmation email will be sent to your mailbox to get you notified.

How to find qualified suppliers?

• Statistics: In Manage Projects Section, you can check the average, the lowest and the highest quotation in pricing from suppliers regarding a certain sourcing product
• Compare: In supplier list page, you can compare selected features between all the suppliers: You can set the parameters which can be compared among the suppliers listed with the Customization Window; you can drag parameters in or out of the window.

How to contact selected suppliers?

• You can contact the supplier by clicking on "Write Message" link/button in the Message Folder; you can also select more than one applicant and send messages to them at the same time.
• Buyer can click on the Contact Now button in “Manage My Suppliers” section, and start to contact with the supplier; buyer can also find the history messags in the Message Folder. Meanwhile, suppliers can also contact the buyer, and their messages will be sent to your Inbox of the Message Folder.
• Note: When a supplier is deleted from the supplier list, you will not be able to receive messages from the supplier.

How to send attachment to suppliers?

• You can attach the file in the message and send it to the supplier together with the mail.
  
  1. Log in to My Gasgoo with member ID and password.
  2. Go to the Message Center and click on Write Message button, to write a new message.
  3. Select contact persons and fill out the text box. Then attach the file you intend to send. Click on Submit when finish.
